THE AUTHOR

Lina Soroga, was born in Athens and studied Communications at Boston University.

She has worked as an assistant publisher in Manhattan for commercial and women's magazines Middle East Business , Prestige as well as in ERT as a journalist, presenter of English news “News in Brief” and Deputy Director of Marketing and Audience Research for Television and Radio, while she specialized in the field of studies and analysis of television audience behavior and as a representative of ERT in Europe, GEAR (Group Of European Audience Researchers), has participated in international communication conferences in Greece and abroad. Her knowledge and experience help her to take advantage of the techniques of promoting her books through the large platforms of social networks (Face book, Instagram, blogs, etc).

Since 2007 she has been collaborating with the Municipality of Kifissia, and has organized a large number of cultural events presenting the work of leading Greek authors.

She has written the books " Listen to the Audience, the Art of Essential Communication, Program Strategy Guide for Public Television" (2010, Papazisis), "Toy Mausoleum", short stories, (2012,Plethron) and "Golden Lupins" novel, 2018 Kastaniotis).

The new novel is an evolution of The Laboratory of Dr. Mayerland and is being developed in English. Its translation has been approved for funding by the Greek Ministry of Culture and the Hellenic Foundation for Culture and Literature.

Her articles and short stories have been published in newspapers (Kathimerini, Vima, Ethnos, Ethnikos Kirix NY), magazines and websites for literature, (Dekata, Poetix , Book Press , Diastixo, Fractal).

She has been invited to the TV show “ERT Stop” and radio (ERA1, ERA 2-Voice of Greece) and has received the first prize in "9th London Greek Film Festival 2016”, for the scenario of the short film IMAGO.
